Assistant Federal Defender

Angie Williams is a life long Kansas Citian.  She has been licensed to practice law in Missouri since 2002 and Kansas Since 2003. Prior to joining the Federal Defenders office she was engaged in private practice focusing exclusively on immigration and federal criminal defense.  She served on the CJA panel in the Western District of Missouri since 2012 and the Kansas CJA panel since 2018. In 2021 Angie decided to leave private practice and devote herself exclusively to representing clients facing charges in the vast and oppressive machinery of the federal criminal system. When not zealously advocating for her clients or trying to smash the patriarchy, Angie spends time with her husband Francisco, her dogs, family and friends, traveling, going to the lake of the Ozarks and painting furniture.  She also speaks Spanish.
